Any advice for moving to the West coast?
im going to school in the Bay area of California
i live in North Carolina
I really want to fit in and everything
this is my first time going anywhere other than family vacations
Any tips on the culture -or if you moved anywhere like that before -you can help me out with??
The main thing to know is California has more diversity then any other state. So if you are the least bit prejudice, leave those feelings behind. You will make friends fast here because everyone here seems to like new things and new people. This is relative speaking a pretty new state. Healthy eating is very common here as well as lots of people into physical fitness. We have the snow over at Lake Tahoe for winter sports, many lakes and hiking trails for the summer. The winter is wet during November to about March or April. We usually don’t get any rain from around May till November, so that is different then North Carolina. Also it is dry here in the summer, no humidity at all. Everyone uses lots of lotions and chap stick here. I hope you love it here as I have been to most of the US and still choose to live here, mainly because of the weather, and the beauty. Some day, be sure to go to Yosemite National park. It is jaw dropping beautiful.
